To the sacramental question about "8 years". Personally, I wrote 8 years ago that the warmongers will eventually finish their game:

"If we digress for a second from heroic myths, one can see a simple reality: former bandits become field commanders, mercenaries from all over the CIS come on safari: to "earn" money and do what they love - shooting at live targets (it also happens to shoot at each other in the process of dividing up the loot). Local residents hide in burrows, go berserk with fear, and in between robberies do not miss the opportunity to take out their anger on someone completely defenseless. What is happening is no different from most local conflicts, where formally they are fighting for freedom and justice, but in fact a flock of dominant males is pulling some kind of diamond mine, raping the natives along the way. In general, war is such a special state of society when unarmed people have no rights. And the joke is that it is in the name of these people that the war is allegedly being waged.

This situation is the result not so much of an insidious geopolitical design as of the operation of the laws of nature. Wherever a vacuum of power is formed, “dogs of war” inevitably flock, trained for the smell of blood and money, and the social elevator is massively filled with individuals of a very specific warehouse. When a group of people arm themselves and begin to collect taxes, without society delegating such power to them through a formal procedure, this can be called a militia, a squad, or even Texas Rangers. But more often it is called the mafia. This happens everywhere - in Africa, in Yugoslavia, in Ukraine. Even if tomorrow Putin personally comes to them and asks them to disperse, laying down their arms, they will personally send Putin in the ass (they will declare a traitor to the Soviet motherland, the Russian people, Orthodoxy - underline the necessary). After all, who wants to go back to racketeering when you are already a minister of an entire republic? On the Ukrainian side, similar problems may arise with the disarmament of the Azov Regiment and other National Guards. That is why the truce is hampered by sudden shelling from both sides.

Approximately the same social processes seem to be taking place on the fronts of the propaganda war. There are so many “Motorol field commanders” in the world who want a black Gelendvagen and a woman, but even more restless humanitarians who want to get the same thing, but only through the safe production of streams of pathos and hatred. If the vacuum of power elevates bandits to the heights, then the demand for propaganda attracts the most hypocritical and unprincipled individuals who are ready to engage in the dehumanization of the enemy and the deindividualization of compatriots. Russian propagandists are no more interested in stopping the hysteria than bandits are in voluntarily surrendering their weapons. On the contrary, the more intense the blood spurts, the more public money will be cut on the "correct coverage of events." But peaceful initiatives portend the imminent impoverishment of the heavenly manna of state orders. Bandits sabotage initiatives with night fireworks, and propagandists blow fireworks out of fireworks. A side effect of the activities of bandits is sending the whole region to the Stone Age, and the effect of propaganda dances is the neuroticization of the whole society. ... To put it simply, hysteria can be kindled if you have certain media capacities. But the further development of the process and its results are unpredictable and uncontrollable. It's like sending cholera strains in the mail and thinking you can control the epidemic. Maybe modern strains of patriotism will turn out to be weak and unviable, and memes carefully nurtured on political technology brainstorms will soon die out from exhaustion. Or maybe something else - memes, designed to be tame animals of the creators, mutate into something completely wild and toothy. There are enough examples in history when the aggression cultivated in society with songs and dances buried its original authors. At least the Russian patriotic upsurge of the First World War, which smoothly flowed into the frenzy of the Civil War, which erased the object of the initial upsurge from the map.
