China/Christians
In China, children under 18 are forbidden from attending church. Millions of Christian Chinese children were recently forced to sign a form to renounce their faith in public.
In 2020, the CCP removed crosses from churches to ensure the state flag was the most prominent symbol.
Officially registered churches are carefully regulated to make sure nothing they promote falls outside CCP guidelines.
Unregistered churches are illegal and driven underground.
Meeting in a home for Christian fellowship is considered “house churches” and is illegal. Leaders of house churches, if caught, are thrown into prison.
Evangelism, including online, is illegal. You can’t preach the Gospel, even in a social media post.
