Paleo-libertarians for Putin

A bit of our local libertarian cringe. There is Lew Rockwell’s website - one of the central sites of the American “paleo-libertarians”. These are the guys who back in the seventies, led by Murray Rothbard, broke away from the libertarian mainstream, accusing it of pandering to the establishment. They separated themselves into their own movement, where they began to smear themselves with especially odorous conservative values, hang out with the Ku Klux Klan and other “nice” people. The most famous representative now is Hans-Hermann Hoppe with his helicopters.

So, after the start of the well-known events, they were smeared with Kremlin propaganda up to their ears. Here, for example, is a column about Putin being a real politician who is for the people, morality, religion, against globalism and migration. And most importantly, against transgender people! Dictatorship and war crimes are all CNN’s lies. And here about the little freedom-loving LDNR, non-compliance with the Minsk agreements and the insidious West, which provoked Putin and is waging an economic war against him. Still about the same, only with a take that Hunter Biden and the American biological weapons laboratories in Ukraine are to blame for everything.

Well, actually, it has long been known that the Kremlin feeds in Europe and the USA all sorts of especially right-wing madmen (the National Front, the NDP, the Golden Dawn, etc.) and even arranged a whole congress for them in St. Petersburg. But here’s where it’s come to. Although, of course, we don’t know for sure - maybe they themselves are such sincere fools there on Lew Rockwell.
